Powermatic TS29 is a high-performance, precise and easy-to-use milling machine for industrial use; Like all Powermatic equipment, it meets high standards of quality and reliability. The machine is equipped with a carriage, a powerful 7.5-kilowatt motor and can work with tools with a diameter of up to 300 mm, which makes it extremely versatile. The carriage - a massive cast-iron table - moves along three pairs of rollers. They are oriented in such a way as to best absorb the pressure that squeezes the workpiece. This design fully corresponds to the specifics of the machine’s operation and is considered optimal for the milling cutter, since it ensures high precision of movement, which does not decrease over the long life of the machine. To secure parts on the table, an adjustable eccentric clamp and a long end stop are installed, which can be set at any angle to the direction of movement. The milling stop used when working on the main table has all the necessary adjustments and settings. It is very important that a special steering wheel is provided for synchronous movement of two overlays at once along with the fence. Together with a digital mechanical counter that measures the amount of movement, this additional adjustment significantly speeds up and simplifies the changeover of milling depth. In addition to this, there is also a separate setting for one of the linings (the machine is equipped with reverse, and it can be considered both front and rear). It moves by rotating its own handle and has a similar counter with a division value of 0.01 mm. Brackets for adjustable vertical clamping and protective guards are mounted on the body of the stop. The spindle is adjustable in height and inclination, in both directions: up to 45° towards the control panel and up to 5° in the opposite direction. Wide range of cutting tool selection options are provided by the ability to replace the spindle. A collet clamp for end mills with 8, 12 and 12.7 mm shanks is supplied as standard; 32 mm and 40 mm spindles are available as an option.
