Mobile hatch straightening unit UPLM 1
The UPLM-1 “Katyusha” installation is designed for: pressing and cold deformation of gondola car hatches; installation and dismantling of hatches; removal and installation of the car's automatic coupler, equipment, components and mechanisms located under the car's frame; lifting and supplying oversized parts and loads to hard-to-reach places during installation and dismantling work. The installation consists of a self-propelled chassis on rubber tracks and a platform mounted on the chassis. The platform is equipped with a rotating stand, which has the ability to turn in one direction or the other by 160 degrees. A guide is hinged on the rotating stand, which, under the action of a hydraulic cylinder, rises and falls in a vertical plane at angles of 15 degrees. The guide pipes contain rods that are rigidly connected at the ends and form a rigid supporting system. An engine with a support platform is installed on the guides, on which the working hydraulic cylinder is fixed.
