The EX1200-7 mining excavator with an operating weight of 115 tons is the first model of the new seventh series presented on the Russian market. The machine is equipped with a Cummins engine with a power of 770 hp. with a fuel consumption optimization system. The excavator's fuel efficiency is also enhanced by electronically controlled hydraulic pumps, a recuperative hydraulic circuit, and an optimized cooling system. According to the manufacturer, thanks to the improved engine and hydraulic system, fuel consumption in the EX1200-7 model is 6% lower compared to the previous EX1200-6 series machine.
In the EX1200-7 model with reinforced working equipment (Bulk Excavation), the volume of the backhoe bucket was increased from 6.7 to 7 m3. The machine is also available in standard front or backhoe configurations with 6.5 or 5.2 m3 bucket capacity, respectively. The welded boom and arm have a box section, which provides increased rigidity and enhanced shock resistance.
The excavator frame design was designed to withstand high loads on it. The frame is manufactured using specially designed molds to reduce the number of welds in high stress areas. As a result, the load on the frame is optimally distributed, thereby increasing its strength and durability.
The cabin rests on 6-point elastic supports filled with liquid. This reduces the impact of vibration. For comfortable work, there is a seat with automatic adjustment to the operator’s weight and air suspension. Thanks to the climate control system, the desired air temperature is constantly maintained in the cabin.
