MINKA - a new concept of PAUS vehicles for mines and quarries
PAUS, in collaboration with workers in potash mines, has recently developed a completely new wheeled vehicle concept for transporting workers in the mine using "MINKA" vehicles.
Based on the drive of small Mercedes-Benz trucks, PAUS combined it with a DEUTZ 912W engine to create a wheeled chassis for multi-purpose and universal use. Based on this chassis, two standard sizes of MINKA series machines have been developed: Mini Minka with a lifting capacity of 1 ton and Midi Minka with a lifting capacity of 2.5 tons.
In turn, the Mini Minka can be produced in the form of a 2-seater truck with a small loading platform or a 5-seater minibus, which are designed for quick delivery of mine line and maintenance personnel along with their tools.
Midi Minka was designed as a universal transport trolley with pneumatic wheels. On the basis of such a cart, a cabin can be placed and a minibus can be created to simultaneously transport a group of miners in the amount of 16 people. A trolley without such a cabin can be used as a cargo vehicle platform for the delivery of various goods and tools.
In addition, PAUS has developed special equipment to use this chassis to produce a fully equipped ambulance and fire truck for mines, equipped with pumps and a water tank with a capacity of 1800 liters.
The MINKA concept offers consumers a wide range of possible mining vehicles based on a new transport and running trolley. Both trolleys are equipped with a five-speed transmission, providing four forward speeds and one reverse speed, and are capable of reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h.
The Mini Minka chassis has an extremely small turning radius of only 4.6 m, and the Midi Minka -6.1 m on the outer wheel. This radius allows cars to fit into turns (3x3 m) of all underground mine workings. The maximum height dimension of Mini Minky is 1.8 m, Midi Minky is 2 m. By special order, both cars can be produced with all-wheel drive - with four driving wheels.
