DIATOMITE
Diatomite (kieselguhr) is a sedimentary rock formed by the remains of ancient seaweed. Diatomite arose during the precipitation of siliceous valves of diatoms and consists of more than 85% amorphous silicon. Thanks to the unique combination of physical and chemical properties, diatomite has found wide application in various industries: from cosmetology to metallurgy. Diatomite chips, calcined foam diatomite chips, as well as dehydrated diatomite chips (crushed diatomaceous stone). Diatomite powder is a fine powder, used as a filler in various composite materials, incl. in cement cements and mortars. Diatomite foam brick is a lightweight heat-insulating, heat-resistant brick, used as thermal insulation, and also used for fire protection of building structures and industrial equipment. Products made from diatomite - slabs, blocks and other products based on diatomite chips, environmentally friendly lightweight heat-insulating non-flammable products. Other diatomaceous materials - sorbents, feed additives, fertilizers, construction fillers, materials based on diatomite or with the addition of a large proportion of diatomite.
