Screenings are obtained as a result of crushing rocks - natural or artificial stone. In appearance, it consists of small pieces of rock, the size of which does not exceed 5 mm. This is secondary raw material. It can sometimes be confused with coarse sand. The material is highly durable. Therefore, in private construction they are used when diluting concrete mixtures instead of the main raw materials. You can also replace coarse crushed stone with screenings when laying a strip foundation. But for this it is advisable to knead the solution several times. It should be remembered that sand, unlike screenings, gives the mixture greater stickiness.
