Thyristor contactor KT-12
Thyristor contactors type KT-11, KT-12 are designed to complete spot, seam and relief resistance welding machines and are used for switching and controlling single-phase power frequency current in the presence of a control unit with synchronous switching on of the welding current. This ensures regulation of the supply current of the power transformer of the contact machine in the range from 2-4 A to the highest value. The operability of contactors KT-11, KT-12 is ensured when the supply voltage fluctuates from minus 10% to plus 5% of the nominal. Contactor currents should not exceed the maximum permissible values specified in Table 1, and the pulse voltage should not exceed 1200 V. The type of climatic modification of contactors KT-11, KT-12 is UHL4 GOST 15150-69. The cooling water flow rate of the KT-11 contactor circuit must be at least 1 l/min, for KT-12 - at least 3 l/min. At a pressure of no more than 294 x 103 Pa (3 kg/cm2) and inlet water temperature ranging from plus 5 °C to plus 25 °C. The output hose must be raised above the level of the thyristors. Operation of contactors KT-11, KT-12 must be carried out taking into account the safety requirements set out in the passport for the welding machine or control cabinet. Contactors are not intended for operation in an environment saturated with conductive dust and (or) containing vapors and gases that cause increased corrosion of metals and destroy insulation. The possibility of operating contactors in conditions other than those specified must be agreed upon with the manufacturer.
