Plug-in tulip contact for K-59 at 1000A
The “tulip” plug-in contact for the K-59 switchgear is installed in the draw-out element of the cell on the tulip holder. Serves for switching current circuits of 1000 amperes. Consists of lamellar contacts enclosed in a stainless steel cage. It has a round shape. The “tulip” plug-in contact is made of electrical copper, grade M1T, with silver galvanic coating (CP24). Galvanic coating of the tulip contact provides a low value of contact resistance, prevents oxidation and heating of power contacts, contributes to a long service life of electrical equipment, a significant number of cycles of rolling in/out of the withdrawable cell element (up to 1700 cycles).
