Log and timber houses, as well as similar prefabricated, frame and frame-panel buildings, shrink, which negatively affects the quality of the connection of their elements. A rather weak point of such structures is the junction of pillars and columns with the base of the foundation of the building. It is precisely to support the foundation and these elements that height-adjusting anchors are used. They allow the position of structural parts to be changed after a fairly long period.
