Electric-welded pipes are a type of rolled metal pipe with a round cross-section, produced on a rolling mill by electric welding and forming of steel strip. According to the type of seam, electric welded pipes are produced in two types: straight-seam (have one straight seam running along the length of the entire pipe) and spiral-seam (have one seam rotating around the pipe in the shape of a spiral along its entire length).
Electric-welded pipes are used in the construction of domestic and industrial pipelines, mainly for outdoor use. They are highly resistant to various chemical compounds, high temperatures and strong vibrations. Also, pipes of this type are often used in the installation of metal structures, construction of sewer shafts, adits and wells.
