Hydrophilic cord 20x4mm (swellable rubber profile, 5m running length)
Hydrophilic cord is a flexible bentonite-rubber material for sealing joints of concrete structures and places where utilities pass through concrete panels. Purpose The hydrophilic cord is an active sodium bentonite on a rubber base, designed to replace PVC profiles that require welding of joints and crack under high static pressure. Available in the form of a cord of various sections and lengths, installation does not require welding, the cords are connected at the joint or with an overlap of 100 mm. Sodium bentonite is an effective waterproofing material, which is one of the varieties of montmorillonite clays of natural (volcanic) origin. When hydrated, bentonite increases in size by 14–16 times. This property, with a limited surrounding volume, creates an impermeable layer for further penetration of moisture, filling all small voids and cracks at the joints of concrete structures. Resistance to hydrostatic pressure - up to 7 atmospheres, water resistance - 2×10 cm/sec., temperature range during installation - from −15 to +50°C, swelling coefficient - up to 400%.
