Cast iron fire hydrant H-2000 mm
Underground fire hydrants are made of high-strength cast iron GOST 8220-85 with spheroidal graphite and are intended for connecting hoses, as well as for collecting flowing water in water supply systems with cold water having a pressure of up to 10 MPa (102 kgf/cm2) and a temperature of 5 to 50 °C, at using a fire extinguishing column. Fire hydrants are most often installed using a fire stand with a flange connection to the tee of the water supply network. A fire column is mounted on top of an underground fire hydrant, and then fire hoses are connected to the column. A cast iron fire hydrant is equipped with a valve, with the help of which the hydrant drain hole is closed or opened. Water is supplied from the hydrant by closing the valve and opening the drain hole. High-strength cast iron with nodular graphite, from which fire hydrant bodies are made, provides: - high cold resistance down to -60 ° C; - a significant increase in corrosion resistance compared to steel pipes; - high impact strength and ductility; - significant reduction in product weight
