Solvent R-4

Characteristics of solvent R-4: Acid number: no more than 0.07 mg KOH/g. Appearance and color: the solvent is colorless or slightly transparent, has a uniform transparent consistency without visible solid particles. Ethyl ether volatility: 5–15. Coagulation number: not less than 24%. Fischer water content: no more than 0.7%. Properties of solvent R-4: Solvent type R-4 is characterized by high volatility and has a specific odor. According to GOST, the product can be used as a thinner. Butyl acetate in the composition improves the shine of paint films after drying and prevents them from fading. Acetone mixes well with water, which causes color distortion and whitening of coatings, so during work avoid contact of the product with moisture. Areas of application: The areas of use of P4 solvent are very extensive. All thanks to its ability to dissolve many common components. It is useful in construction and interior decoration: Add the necessary viscosity and improve the performance qualities of any paints and other decorative coatings based on vinyl chloride; Remove residues of coatings and sealing compounds due to the ability to dissolve epoxy resins. Degrease the surface before treatment or clean it from plaque and dirt that cannot be removed by other methods. Reduce the consumption of the main dye, while creating a durable and aesthetic protective film. The main thing to remember: water in the solvent should not be more than 1%. Additional moisture will cause the formation of a white coating on the painted surface and reduce the aesthetic appeal. Storage information: Metal barrels, plastic canisters, bottles with R-4 solvent are stored away from electrical equipment, heating appliances, and in places inaccessible to children. Storage temperature - from -40 to +40 °C. Shelf life – 1 year from the date of manufacture.
