Hydrochloric acid (25kg technical; 1.2kg, 25kg chemically pure)
Hydrochloric acid (also hydrochloric acid, hydrochloric acid) is a solution of hydrogen chloride {\displaystyle {\ce {HCl}}}in water, a strong monobasic acid. A colorless, transparent, caustic liquid that “smoke” in air (technical hydrochloric acid is yellowish in color due to impurities of iron, chlorine, etc.). It is present in a concentration of about 0.5% in the human stomach.
This acid is used:
in metallurgy for extracting ores, removing rust, scale, dirt and oxides, soldering and tinning;
in the production of synthetic rubbers and resins;
in galvanoplasty;
as an acidity regulator in the food industry;
for the production of metal chlorides;
to produce chlorine;
in medicine for the treatment of insufficient acidity of gastric juice;
as a cleaning and disinfectant.
