The ShSS-1M self-rescuer is a means of personal respiratory protection and is intended to protect miners and persons of the federal supervision service in underground accidents associated with the formation of an atmosphere unsuitable for breathing.
The self-rescuer is used in coal mines and other mining enterprises; it is designed for constant wearing or switching in a mine and for use in emergency conditions when accessing a fresh ventilation stream of air.
The self-rescuer is a disposable self-contained breathing apparatus with chemically bound oxygen and a pendulum breathing pattern.
The self-rescuer belongs to products of execution U, category 5 according to GOST 15150, for operation at temperatures from –20°С to +40°С, relative air humidity up to 100% at 35°С, atmospheric pressure up to 133.5 kPa.
