Automation of precast concrete factories

NPF "Kovar" is a unique developer of automated process control systems at such production facilities as: concrete mixing plants, asphalt concrete plants, reinforced concrete products plants, cement and gypsum production, feed mills, bakeries. At the moment, our company is successfully implementing several automation projects for manufacturers of installations for the preparation of building mixtures (Metalist Promstroy LLC and RITECO LLC) and individual clients, and also supports 15 concrete mixing plants (BSU) in Cuba under an international contract with Ivekta LLC. We also developed a step start system for Sicoma concrete mixers, which was subsequently adapted for skip hoists, which we successfully use. The advantages of this solution are a significant increase in the service life of the mechanisms and the prevention of the occurrence of large starting currents at the start of asynchronous motors, which has a beneficial effect on the operational characteristics of the BSU as a whole. When designing, we use the principle of constructing distributed control systems, which in the case of automated control systems provides significant savings for the customer due to a reduction in the length of cable routes. We provide a complete set of documentation for the automated process control system, which includes structural diagrams of the automation facility, electrical circuit diagrams, layout drawings of control cabinets and a cable log, which makes it possible to both install and maintain the automated process control system by the customer’s personnel. The software comes with an operator's manual and a complete user's manual. The software can be ported, at the customer’s request, to both Windows operating systems and Unix systems. During the design development process, we not only take into account the customer’s requirements, but also provide expert consulting services based on our extensive experience on a recommendation basis. Extensive experience in communicating with process plant operators and local management personnel enables us to effectively provide technical support for commissioned systems. In addition, we bear warranty obligations for the equipment we produce within the framework of the contract and promptly respond to cases of possible failures.
