Automatic control system for conveyor lines

In the summer of 2020, our partners ordered from us the development, installation and commissioning of a new automatic control system for conveyors for cutting and packaging finished products at one of the largest poultry meat processing enterprises in Siberia.

Our engineers completed the task within a month, and in October the system was already fully operational, successfully managing the operation of the new conveyors.

The system is designed to control three production lines: cutting and packaging breasts and thighs; cutting and packaging of legs, and cutting and packaging of offal.

The core of the system is the conveyor control cabinet. On the front panel of the cabinet there is a touch-sensitive color graphic terminal and an “EMERGENCY STOP” button.

The cabinet includes a programmable controller, a control panel (graphical terminal), a relay for galvanic isolation of the controller outputs, circuit breakers, power supplies, frequency converters, and control panel equipment.

Setting up the program, setting control parameters, displaying equipment status and parameter values is carried out using the Omron NB operator panel.

The system is controlled by an Omron CP2E programmable controller, which cyclically executes a specialized program stored in its non-volatile memory.

The controller and additional input/output blocks process signals coming from sensors and from the operator and provide signals to the conveyor actuators.

To maintain a given technological cycle of operation, the system constantly measures output and input parameters, and, based on the analysis of the readings, controls the output elements.

The presentation of all visual information is organized in the form of a set of windows, switching between which is carried out by pressing the corresponding functional touch buttons on the screen.

The automatic conveyor control system we have developed allows us to control the entire production cycle of cutting and packaging chicken, right down to washing the conveyor belt and monitoring emergency situations.
