The “Signal” spark protection barrier system is designed to ensure intrinsic safety of circuits of electrical contact pressure gauges, thermometers and other instruments and products that have switching contacts and operate without the use of electricity, for example: SUG-M, ROS-400, DRU-1PM, as well as for use in fire alarms and automatic fire extinguishing devices. Design The system includes: block of spark protection barriers (from 1 to 8 barriers) executive relays for channels K1...K8 indication LEDs for channels VD1...VD8 LED for indicating the activation of any channel VD9 general relay (activation of any channel) K9 communication lines In case of application systems in fire alarm systems, it includes fire alarm sensors. The system ensures intrinsic safety of sensor circuits and has output intrinsically safe circuits of the “ib” level, explosion protection marking “ExibIIC T6 in the “Signal” set in accordance with the requirements of GOST R 51330.10, GOST PS1330.0. The degree of protection of the housing of the spark protection barrier unit is IP20 in accordance with GOST 14254. The spark protection barrier unit is a current limiting device that is a separating element between intrinsically safe and intrinsically hazardous sensor circuits. The circuit includes up to 8 spark protection barriers assembled on AI-A8 boards. Operation The optimal conditions for using the “Signal” spark protection system are: ambient temperature from -10 to + 50°C relative air humidity 98% at a temperature of plus 25°C atmospheric pressure 84-106.7 kPa
