GOLD MODE High Efficiency (default setting) (Typically ≤ 0.1-50 grams) This mode is selected when detecting small and medium nuggets. It will also work very well when searching for large nuggets. Start with this very sensitive topsoil setting. General (Typically 5-50 grams) A general-purpose mode that detects both small and large nuggets equally at greater depths without sacrificing too much sensitivity. Use this mode after covering an area in High Efficiency mode. Very Deep (Typically ≥50 grams) Special mode for detecting very large deep targets. This mode will penetrate deeper than all other modes, taking you to the NEXT LEVEL of gold hunting up to 40%* deeper than GPX metal detectors. SOIL TYPE Normal For soils that have lower levels of mineralization, this mode maximizes target response signals. If the metal detector is noisy above the ground, switch to the Hard mode. This is a great mode for deep hunting for secret treasures. Difficult (default setting) Gold mines tend to have very mineralized soil. This mode copes with these conditions, allowing you to search more locations with a minimum number of false signals masking the target's responses. Extra-Heavy Some locations have extreme levels of mineralization. This type of soil, combined with the High Efficiency gold mode, allows you to search in challenging conditions to recover gold from previously unsearchable areas.
