The explosive device PV 3-1700-2.3 is intended for issuing a current pulse of a given magnitude in order to initiate electric detonators of normal and low sensitivity one at a time or in a group (with series and series-parallel connection of the explosive circuit) and for measuring the resistance of the explosive circuit when carrying out explosive work in mines and mines that are not hazardous due to gas or dust, as well as in open-pit mining, construction, industry (welding, explosive stamping, etc.) and in laboratory research.
The device is intended for use under the following conditions:
• ambient temperature from plus 40°С to minus 20°С,
• atmospheric pressure from 86.7 kPa (650 mm Hg) to 106.7 kPa (800 mm Hg),
• relative humidity of the ambient air (at a temperature of 25°C) up to 98%.
The device has a normal mine version - RN2.
Degree of protection from external influences – IP54.
Type of climatic modification – UHL5.
Main parameters and characteristics:
• Guaranteed operating current – from 0.5 to 9.9 A.
• The maximum output pulse voltage is not less than 1700 V ± 5%.
• Storage capacitor capacity – 40 µF ± 10%.
• Charging time of the storage capacitor – no more than 10 s.
• The discharge time of the storage capacitor to a voltage of 3 V after issuing an explosive pulse is no more than 4 s.
• The magnitude of the measuring current flowing through the explosive circuit is no more than 6.5 mA ± 10%.
• The device is powered by a TD-2.4 battery located inside with a rated voltage of 12 V and a capacity of 2.3 Ah.
• The number of charge-discharge cycles of the storage capacitor when the battery is fully charged is at least 100 at a temperature of (25±15)°C.
• Measurement and display on the display of the resistance value of the explosive circuit from 1 to 2000 Ohms.
• Operating intensity – 10 charge-discharge cycles with an interval of 1 minute.
• Initiates up to 800 electric detonators depending on their electrical resistance.
Overall dimensions of the device, no more: length 270 mm, width 180 mm, height 150 mm. The body is made of flame retardant material. The weight of the device is no more than 4.5 kg. The device provides self-monitoring of performance.
